5 Ways to Start Your Day off Right

Starting your day off right can be the difference between a good day and a bad day. If you’re like most moms, you are probably always looking for ways to improve your morning but find it a challenge to carve out time or have the energy to do anything for yourself.

If you’re feeling like you’re running on empty it is important to know you are SO not alone!

I have certainly been there and STILL struggle with it. Pretty much everyone I know struggles with this too. A lot of this can stem from a lack of healthy personal boundaries, but that’s another blog post for another time.

A good healthy morning routine was one of the big keys to me starting to get a grip on my life and shift the entire energy and results of the day.

I compiled a list of the top most impacting and realistic 5 simple ways to get your day started off on the right foot.

3. Move your body, meditate, and practice deep breathing for 5, 10 + minutes to get your blood and oxygen flowing and boost your mood - This also helps to clear away the early morning brain fog as well as activate your body to wake up and prepare for the day. Getting your mindset is HUGE to direct your day, as well as already practicing grounding and balance rather than rushing around and getting frantic in the first hour of your morning.

4. Nourish yourself with a healthy breakfast to give yourself sustained energy throughout the day -Yep. DO NOT SKIP BREAKFAST, and NO! A sugary pastry and sugary beverage do NOT count as a healthy breakfast. Try overnight oats, homemade granola, avocado or peanut butter toast with fruit, etc. for quick, easy, and HEALTHIER breakfasts. This is the gas you need to fill up on so you have enough fuel to make it through the day. If you fill up your car, getting yourself “filled” with the right fuel is even MORE vital!

5. Make your bed so you feel like your’ve accomplished something right from the start - Seriously. It’s something SO simple that can truly shift SO much. On some of my worst days when I already felt the day spiraling our of control, just the simple act of making my bed and having ONE positive thing to focus on that I had already accomplished helped to build more positive energy that inspired and encouraged me throughout those days.

I hope you enjoyed my 5 tips for a better day. I’d love to know your WINS, so come back here and COMMENT them so we can celebrate together!!!

Until Next Time,
