Cozy Cabin Aromatherapy Blend

from $22.99

When you think of yourself holed up in a cozy cabin for the weekend, what do you think of?

For me, a warm, crackling fire in the fireplace comes to mind, with deep natural polished wood walls and floors, flannel throw blankets on a leather couch and evergreen trees just outside and able to view from glass windows. It may be a little cold outside as the sun is setting and the body and soul are ready to snuggle up by the fire, wrapped in that throw blanket, reading a good book and sipping a tasty warm beverage. It is soothing to soul and a like a free form of natural therapy.

I created this blend, inspired by my husband’s love for the woods and log cabins, and that feeling that permeates into his spirit at the mere thought of it. It has elements of both the Aroma and Therapy part to aid in this overall feeling that retreating to a cozy cabin can bring.

Aroma: The top notes provide a spicy warmth that give a nod to baking treats in the kitchen and the warmth of that fire and spicy drink. Then there are elements of those evergreen trees pulled in, balanced by the earthy smell of the outdoors and the leathery scent of that sofa to nestle into.

Therapy: The constituents of the essential oils in this particular blend aid to feeling of deep grounding and connection to the earth, as well as inner strength and uplifting of the mood, mind, and emotions. It also helps support circulatory flow, contributing to warming of the body energetically. The crystal chips of Black Onyx and Carnelian were specifically added to compliment the properties of the essential oils.

  • Black Onyx is known to be especially helpful for grounding as well as supporting stamina, strength, and adjusting to new environments without the feeling of overwhelm that can often partner with the emotions during times of change.

  • Carnelian is a crystal connected to Fire Energy that connects the lower chakras, providing a sense of stability and grounding. The properties help to provide balance and reconnecting to motivation and vitality.

How to Use: Apply one drop or roll behind ears and on pulse points, particularly wrists, as often as desired. Do NOT use on, in, or around eyes and other mucous membranes for added safety and comfort precautions.

  • Contains Cassia, kin to the cinnamon family, in small amounts and pre-diluted with carrier oil, so please check to ensure there is no known personal allergy to this family of plants/essential oils. To test, use a very small amount on a non-sensitive area, like the forearm. Wait overnight, then if no reaction occurs, proceed.

  • Cassia, in itself, is considered a Hot oil, meaning it can have a “burning” sensation, like a sunburn, on the area where applied if used undiluted, meaning without the use of a carrier oil to slow absorption. This is why I take extra precautions, especially for new and inexperienced essential oil users, to pre-dilute my blends with carrier oil for extra protection and enjoyment of the product. Please keep this in mind if trying to recreate these blends on your own. Otherwise, it is perfectly safe to use. My family and I use this oil regularly with no issues, when used with a carrier - from our littlest member on up.
